Jeremy has spent most of his professional life on the road. He moved to Nashville in 1997 to join Lonestar and spent the next eight years touring with the band.
That life on the road continues to this day, with national touring, one-off dates and fill-in work with artists across the country.
Over the years, Jeremy has spent time on the road with artists whose music, audiences and ways of working can be very different from one another. Moving between those worlds has been one of the things he has enjoyed most about a life in music.
Some gigs have meant learning a deep catalog and settling into a long tour. Others have been a single fill-in date or stepping into an existing band for a short run. Each one has brought a different group of people, different songs and a different experience.

Jeremy has rarely spent a tour in just one musical role. The instrument has always depended on the artist and the songs — pedal steel and lap steel with William Clark Green, pedal steel and Dobro with The Panhandlers, and, during his years with Lonestar, pedal steel, lap steel, Dobro / resonator, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, banjo and mandolin.
Moving between instruments became a normal part of life on the road. Some nights meant staying behind the steel; others meant changing instruments several times through the set, depending on what the song called for.
Moving to Nashville in 1997 was an awakening for Jeremy. He was a wide-eyed kid from West Texas who had barely traveled outside the region, and suddenly he was seeing the country from a tour bus and playing stages he had only dreamed about. The Grand Ole Opry, the CMA and ACM Awards, The Tonight Show, national television and countless other moments made those years feel almost surreal.
But the Lonestar years taught him much more than music. They taught him about life on the road, loneliness, success, sacrifice and what it actually means to chase a dream. For a kid who grew up playing music in West Texas, it was proof that some of those dreams really could come true.
After Nashville, Jeremy spent several years playing guitar at North Point Ministries campuses around metro Atlanta, primarily at North Point Community Church, Buckhead Church and Browns Bridge Community Church. It became one of the most meaningful periods of his music career. The musicianship and production were exceptional, rehearsals and services were run at an incredibly high level, and excellence was expected every week. The music and production rivaled anything Jeremy had experienced on the road — and they did it every Sunday. Some of his closest friendships also came from those years.
When Jeremy moved back to Texas in 2017, another chapter began. He found himself surrounded by a new circle of incredible artists who he now calls friends, and with them came a different way of making music. Texas artists, in Jeremy's experience, place a real value on originality, creativity and spontaneity. You may be hired to cover the parts that are on the record, but if you hear something different that fits the song, there is often room to play it. That freedom to bring some of yourself to the music has been a breath of fresh air, and it has become a big part of the work Jeremy is doing today.
